What Is Commercial General Liability?

A CGL (Commercial General Liability) is critical coverage for your business! Very simply, this policy will cover your business against claims brought by third parties for bodily injury, death or property damage THEY suffer as a result of YOUR business operations, or the actions/inactions of you and your employees in the course of your duties. These situations could occur on your premises, on public property or on a client’s site.

1. Claims Example #1: you go to your client’s office to do a presentation, and while you are on lunch, the projector you’d brought malfunctions and overheats, scorching the client’s expensive boardroom table.
